No New Posts Character Graveyard
These are the characters that have met some unfortunate end. Under very special circumstances, we might let one or two of this characters be claimed by a player who wants them, but the player should have a very good idea of how to bring them back, just a heads up.

No New Posts Denerim
Denerim, the capital of Ferelden, originally began as an outpost of the ancient Tevinter Imperium. Its mages built a dark tower from the side of a mountain, a symbol of power. As the Imperium faded, the tower passed to the hands of the teyrns that ruled the region for a millennium. Today that tower stands as Fort Drakon, immediately recognizable to any ship that approaches the rocky coast. The city that has sprung up around it was almost carved out of the side of the mountain it rests on, and during the Dragon Age, its population has grown beyond the city's ability to cope.

No New Posts Highever
Originally, it was ruled by the Elstan family, cousins of the noble Howe family. During the Tower Age however, Bann Conobar Elstan was allegedly murdered by his wife, which ended the bloodline. Conobar's Captain of the Guard, Sarim Cousland, acquired the land and title. After fighting a thirty year war with Amaranthine, Highever was not granted independence and half of what used to be southwestern Amaranthine. During the Black Age, Highever became a teyrnir after the ruling Cousland battled, and defeated, the werewolf threat encroaching upon the land. At present, Highever is one of only two teyrnirs, the other being Gwaren.

No New Posts Arling of Amaranthine
The arling of Amaranthine winds along the sinuous northeastern coast of Ferelden. The Waking Sea is known for its temper, and the storms that sweep in from the warmer northern waters are sudden and brutal. Its main features are the City of Amaranthine and the magnificent fortress of Vigil's Keep.

No New Posts Lake Calenhad
Most of us know the legend of King Calenhad, which gives this lake its name. It is said that Calenhad Theirin spent a year and a day in the Tower of the Magi, which was built by the Tevinter Imperium years before hand. Each day, he drew a single cup full of water from the lake and carried it to the Formari at the top of the tower. By magic, each cup of water was forged into a single ring of the mail armor the Circle gave to Calenhad. In that armor, made from the lifeblood of the land itself, no blade could strike him, no arrow pierce him, so long as he stood on Fereldan soil.

No New Posts Orzammar
One of the last remaining thaigs, Orzammar has been the dwarven capital since Paragon Garal decided to move the seat of power there from Kal'Sharok in order to better trade with the newly risen Tevinter Imperium. Back then, the thaigs were beyond counting and the dwarves were entering an age of prosperity. Then came the darkspawn who ravaged the dwarven kingdom until only one thiag remained, Orzammar. That has changed though due to the not-too recent rediscovery of Kal'Sharok and the hard-won reclamation of Kal'Hirol and many other small thaigs thanks to its new Circle of Magi.

No New Posts Soldier's Peak
The Grey Warden base at Soldier's Peak was built in the middle of the Glory Age, several decades after the second Blight was ended under the command of Warden-Commander Gaspar Asturian. Eventually it feel under the command of Warden-Commander Sophia Dryden who attempted to initiate a rebellion against King Arland. After her defeat and the banishing of the Wardens from Ferelden, the fortress stood abandoned for two centuries until The Hero of Ferelden reclaimed it and cleansed it of demons. After a year long restoration process, the Peak is the Ferelden Warden's base once more.

No New Posts Kirkwall
Kirkwall (also known as The City of Chains) is a coastal city-state and a major population center located in the Free Marches. It is on the southern edge of the Vimmark Mountains, east of the Planasene Forest, and north across the Waking Sea from Ferelden. Any ship approaching Kirkwall will first see the cliffs – the "wall" that the city is named for – from many miles off.

No New Posts Starkhaven
The largest city in the Free Marches, the independent city-state of Starkhaven is ruled by the Vael Family and has strong ties to the Chantry in its governance. It sits on the Minanter River in the northeast and borders with Antiva. It is a place of wealth and opulance, with many kingly estates with fountains of marble and paths of granite. It is also famed for its superb cuisine, with its most famous dish being fish and egg pie.

No New Posts Orlais
Founded by Emperor Kordillus Drakon, the Orlesian Empire or simply Orlais is one of the most powerful nations in Thedas. Val Royeaux is the capital of Orlais, as well as the Chantry's seat of power and home to the Divine. Amongst its previous rulers were Emperor Reville and Emperor Florian. Orlais conquered Ferelden in 8:44 Blessed, but was expelled before the beginning of the Dragon Age by King Maric Theirin.

No New Posts Antiva
Antiva is a nation in north eastern Thedas. Although it possesses few resources of its own, Antiva's location makes it a centre for trade in the north. Its capital is Antiva City, which lies on the middle of its coastline and is one of the wealthiest in Thedas.
Despite the lack of a strong military tradition, there is a reason why Antiva has rarely feared invasion: the infamous House of Crows, the most efficient, most feared, and most expensive guild of assassins in Thedas. Their fame is such that Antiva has no need of a standing army. No leader is willing to order an attack on her borders or to lead the troops due to fear of assassination. Even the Qunari leave the nation alone.

No New Posts Rivain
The nation of Rivain is located in the northern parts of Thedas. Its capital city is Dairsmuid, which is on in the southern end of the Rivain peninsula. Its dark-skinned humans, the Rivaini, have a peaceful relationship with the elves. The city of Llomerryn is known to have a semi-permanent Dalish encampment on its outskirts. The Qunari settlement of Kont-aar is in northern Rivain.
Unlike the majority of peoples in Thedas, the Rivaini are not Andrastians and don't believe in the Maker. Rather, they are pantheists who believe in the Natural Order. Many, especially in Kont-aar, have also converted to the Qun, as their religion and the Qun are not very contradictory.

No New Posts Nevarra
Nevarra is a nation in central Thedas, west of the Free Marches, south of the Tevinter Imperium and north-east of Orlais. It was originally one of the larger Free Marches city states, but has aggressively expanded over the last two centuries to become a power to rival Orlais.

No New Posts The Tevinter Imperium
The Tevinter Imperium is a nation ruled by a powerful magocracy. The leaders of the Imperium are called magisters, and are led by the Imperial Archon. The Tevinter Imperium worshipped the Old Gods, supposedly from whom the magisters learned magic. The Tevinter Imperium suffered the brunt of the First Blight and was subsequently toppled in an invasion by southern barbarians led by the prophetess Andraste; it is now only a shadow of its former self in both size and power. Though blood magic is now banned in the Imperium, some mages are quietly acknowledged as the most proficient dream-walkers and diviners.

No New Posts The Fade
The Fade, known by the Dalish as the Beyond, is a metaphysical realm that is part of Thedas yet separated by the Veil. The Fade is split up into fiefs belonging to the spirits that live there, and they change the landscape of the Fade to emulate what they see in the minds of mortal dreamers. Every living being, with the exception of dwarves, enters the Fade mentally when they dream and mages tap into it when they cast spells.

Have anything interesting to talk about that isn't exactly Dragon Age related? Do the talking here. This can also be about Dragon Age itself. Anything goes here, just keep it calm and respectful. I would say no politics, but that would ruin the whole, 'anything goes here...' line.
